On 13 June 2003 Catherine Stewart, head of an EU public affairs consultancy, gave a lunchtime talk.
Catherine Stewart, founder and head of an EU public affairs consultancy, gave a talk on creating a business and a woman's approach to management. Catherine described the events that led to her decision to set up her own EU public affairs consultancy in Brussels and the challenges that she has faced as she has expanded her business, both in Brussels and the US. Catherine also led a discussion on the various issues facing professional women in the workplace and, in particular, when setting up their own businesses. Catherine encouraged a lively debate amongst the 70 women who attended the event. There was also an opportunity to network after the lunch.
