Bridget Cosgrave, a Belgacom Director, talked about her career and experiences. She talked us through a number of decision-making points in her life which have effectively got Bridget where she is today. Bridget originally wanted to be a lawyer, but changed direction after doing an MBA and held a series of positions with investment banks, specialising in telecoms. This led to a deputy director general position with the European telecommunications standards agency, before joining Belgacom nearly three years ago. Bridget is now responsible for Belgacom's wholesale and business unit. She also spoke about the challenges facing the telecommunications industry, both for incumbent and smaller operators. Bridget's talk was followed by a buffet lunch and an opportunity for FEW members to network. The event was very successful, with over 75 women attending.
